Public Safety Institute lessons
Thank you for your interest in the Protect & Respect Program and our Public Safety Institute training curriculum. Before downloading and using these lessons, we strongly encourage you to include and read the “P&R Curriculum Readme” (376kb). This document is an introduction to the lesson plans and handouts, and it provides valuable information about how to use this curriculum effectively with older audiences. Of course, many of these lessons are useful for anyone, at any age. We encourage your frequent use of these lessons in community meetings, residences, schools, faith centers and wherever else you know people will benefit from learning more about personal safety, crime prevention and emergency preparedness/response. Please acknowledge and credit the organizations noted in each handout that were responsible for providing much of the information that supplements the Protect & Respect lesson plans. We also urge you to distribute, collect and submit the participant evaluation forms attached to each lesson. Submit completed forms to:
